"The foundation of Khalsa Panth was laid at Anandpur Sahib, that is why this place is known as the land of Khalsa. So, if AAP is voted to power, the government would make Anandpur Sahib a holy city," he said.
This would be done keeping in view the faith of the Sikh community all over the world, Kejriwal said after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple here.
"If AAP comes to power, there will be complete ban on sale of meat, liquor and any kind of intoxicant within the walled city keeping in view the presence of most pious place, the Durbar Sahib (Golden Temple)," the Delhi Chief Minister said.
Kejriwal said whenever he comes to Amritsar he always prefers to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple first then take up any other job.
"Today before paying obeisance I prayed before the Waheguru (Almighty) to give me strength to fight against drug abuse and continue the war against corruption in Amritsar as well as in Punjab", he said.
Kejriwal has embarked on a four-day visit to the state from yesterday for giving a fresh push to AAP's assembly poll campaign amid heckling by rivals and voiced apprehension about more muck being thrown at the party in the run-up to the elections.
