According to the report of State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), by the end of the first half of this financial year, Andhra Bank provided Rs 1,793.24 crore advances for the agricultural sector with a total share of 21.66 per cent.
The State Bank of India (SBI) provided Rs 918.76 crore loans to the agricultural sector with a share of 11.10 per cent.
In other priority sector lending, Andhra Bank disbursed Rs 11,535.80 crore with a share of 20.79 per cent, while SBI disbursed Rs 10,964.13 crore with a share of 19.76 per cent.
The total priority sector lending in the state is Rs 1,56,180 crore and agricultural lending is Rs 91,415 crore.
The total MSME loans stood at Rs 38.034 crore, education loans at Rs 904 crores, housing loans at Rs 17,986 crore and loans for self-help groups stood at Rs 14,695 crores, the report said.
The SLBC meeting for Andhra Pradesh was held here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu yesterday.
