Andhra MPs no-confidence move against UPA not correct tactic:

CPI(M) today said the move of 13 MPs from Andhra Pradesh to bring a no-confidence motion against the UPA government was "not a correct tactic" and asked them to unite members to defeat the proposed bill to divide the state and create a separate Telangana.
"This is not the correct tactic. There is no point in uniting parties behind the government and giving it support," senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury told PTI when asked about the party's position on the issue.
His comments came in the backdrop of six Congress MPs from Seemandhra, four of TDP and three of YSR Congress giving separate notices to Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar for a no-confidence motion against the Manmohan Singh government to protest the creation of Telangana.

"The correct tactic would be muster support to defeat the government on the bill to divide the state Andhra Pradesh," Yechury said.
He said in any case, the general elections were round the corner and the same government would be asked to continue till the polls if a no-confidence motion was adopted.
Any move to bring a no-confidence motion requires the support of some 50 odd members, 10 per cent of the membership of the House.
