The Chief Minister was received by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice Admiral Satish Soni.
On arrival at the venue, he was greeted by a burst of 84mm rockets and water plume charges by marine commandos, followed by naval sky divers descending with the national flag and the Indian Naval Ensign.
A demonstration of helicopters landing and taking off from a moving column of warships in close formation was followed by a display by Indian Air Force's helobatics team.
The display by marine commandos included execution of sabotage operations on a simulated oil rig which was closely followed by submarine INS Sindhuraj displaying her masts as she sailed past the dias.

Amphibious assault techniques were demonstrated by Landing Craft Mechanised (LCM) and Landing Craft Assault (LCA), supported by simulated shore bombardment by fighter aircraft.
Nineteen aircraft of nine different types from the Eastern Naval Command, including the TU142-M, and the newly inducted P8I MR aircraft flying in all the way from Arakkonam near Chennai as well as Hawk Advanced Jet Trainers based at INS Dega took to the skies in a thrilling fly past.
As the sun set, naval ships carried out live anti-aircraft firing on simulated targets.
The programme concluded with a display of fireworks from illuminated ships.
