While eight IPS officers of 1998 batch have been promoted from the rank of Deputy Inspector General to Inspector General, four Superintendents of Police (2002 batch) were promoted as DIGs.
SPs of five districts, who were transferred out, were not given any new postings in the reshuffle and have been asked to report to the police headquarters.
Additional Director General of Police-rank IPS officer A R Anuradha (of 1987 batch) has been posted as Principal Secretary (Home)in the existing vacancy.
Visakhapatnam city Police Commissioner Amit Garg of 1993 batch has been shifted to the post of IGP (Provisioning and Logistics) which was lying vacant for the past few days after incumbent V S K Kaumudi joined the National Investigation Agency on deputation.

T Yoganand, promoted to the rank of IGP, has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam.
Mahesh Chandra Laddha, who only last month was appointed as Additional Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada, has been transferred out as IGP (Intelligence).
A Sundar Kumar Das has been posted as Controller, Legal Metrology, on promotion as IGP, while K Venkateswara Rao has been made Director (Prohibition and Excise) in the existing vacancy.
E Damodar has been promoted and retained in the Legal Cell as IG while K Satyanarayana has been posted as IG (Crime Investigation Department). B Srinivasulu too has been promoted as IGP and retained in the Special Intelligence Branch.
Security Group, has been promoted and posted as DIG (Security), while P V S Ramakrishna has been shifted from the Security wing to Eluru Range as DIG.
Visakhapatnam and Anantapuramu ranges also got new DIGs in Ch Srikanth and J Prabhakar Rao respectively.
While R Jayalakshmi has been posted as SP, Tirupati Urban, B Raja Kumari has been made SP, Rajamahendravaram Urban police district.
J Brahma Reddy, C M Thrivikrama Varma, Rahul Dev Sharma, L K V Ranga Rao and P H D Ramakrishna have been posted as SPs of Srikakulam, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam Rural, Vizianagaram and Kadapa districts respectively.
