Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Washington Governor Christine O Gregoire signed the joint statement, a press release from the Chief Minister's Office said.
"It is not merely business and trade. It is a good exchange of culture and education," the chief minister said. He hoped that the partnership brings benefits for both states.
"Our friendship will take us a long way. As an innovative state Boeing was started in 1960. World icons like Microsoft are located in Washington. Investment in agriculture and IT have a bright future. Trade relations with India particularly Andhra Pradesh will go a long way," the Washington Governor said.
She invited the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues to visit Washington.
