The company had posted a net profit of Rs 15.14 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income of the company rose by 17.13 per cent to Rs 126.78 crore in the July-September quarter of the 2016-17 fiscal from Rs 108.23 crore in the same quarter last year, Andrew Yule said in a BSE filing.
Higher revenue was mainly from its electrical and engineering segments. The income from tea business was lower than the previous period.
The present business of the Andrew Yule Group includes tea, electrical, engineering, lubricant, printing, digital communication among others. The company has 15 tea gardens.
