The 39-year-old star, who directed her second film 'Unbroken' this year, said she is more happy working behind cameras, reported Contactmusic.
"As an actress, you learn about your character, and you understand the overall picture of any film you're working on, but there's so much you're not a part of.
"There's so many times I've felt frustrated with films I've been in, or seen them and not felt connected to them, or haven't watched them at all. I'm much happier directing," Jolie said.
The Oscar-winning actress, who made her directorial debut with 'The Land of Milk and Honey', said she was nervous when she decided to switch from being an actress to director.
