Considering the plight of the animals, the Amangarh Tiger Reserve authorities have taken special measures for providing water to them.
Nine new tanks have been constructed inside the reserve to provide adequate water to the animals.
Bordering the world-famous Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, the reserve is home to tigers, elephants and a wide variety of other animals.
The Reserve already has natural ponds, but it is now being provided with nine new ponds to provide relief to the animals in the extreme hot and dry conditions, Ranger Sunder Singh said.
