Anita Dongre gives preview of her Rajasthan-inspired LFW line

Ahead of her grand finale show at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort next month, designer Anita Dongre showcased a few pieces from her Rajasthan-inspired line at her flagship store here.
The collection is inspired by liquid gold/argan oil, which is the main component of the new range of lipsticks by Lakme Absolute.
Talking about her collaboration with LFW, Dongre says, "I was approached a few months back. At that time I was already working on the similar line, similar fabric and colour palette.
"So, there was a sync in the thought process because we were on the same page. I did not have to give up or modify my designing aesthetics," the designer told PTI.

Dongre says she holidays in Rajasthan a lot and especially visits bird sanctuaries and wildlife parks, which will reflect in the form of motifs in her latest collection.
Purnima Lamba, Lakme's Head of Innovations, says it was very easy to work with Dongre again.
"Working with her is great. She is so organsied. The thinking is so much in sync."
Dongre's show will take place at an off-site venue in Mumbai on February 5.
