"However, the final decision on giving the UPE status will be taken during the sub-committee meeting, possibly next month, by which the University will get Rs 75 crore," Prof H Devaraj, UGC Vice-Chairman told reporters here.
He said the sub-committee had identified the University to have most of the quality parameters and had sought some more details, which was given on March 3l.
Devaraj said 20 of the 35 Universities which sent proposals for UPE on UGC's request were found eligible, considering their teaching and research quality. Of these seven were shortlisted in the 12th plan, he said.
On Massive Online Open Courses, he said E-Content for UG and 'E-Pathasala' would become operational by December 2015, though it was planned to be commissioned by September.
Under this scheme, 78 e-subjects would be given for UG courses and 77 to PG courses, Devaraj added.
