Fake currency notes with face value of Rs 2.10 lakh were recovered from the accused, Gudivada Deputy Superintendent of Police G Naganna said.
"Based on a tip-off that a group of people were carrying fake currency notes from Bellary in Karnataka, police laid a trap and arrested the accused," he said.
The accused have been identified as- B Ramesh, K Venkateswara Rao, B Ravindrababu, G Rajababu, Y Ramesh and M Vittal.
Search has been launched for the kingpin of the casein Karnataka and special teams have been sent to that state.
