Another six held in fake currency notes racket

Police today arrested six more people in connection with the fake currency notes racket at Gudivada town in Krishna district.
Fake currency notes with face value of Rs 2.10 lakh were recovered from the accused, Gudivada Deputy Superintendent of Police G Naganna said.
"Based on a tip-off that a group of people were carrying fake currency notes from Bellary in Karnataka, police laid a trap and arrested the accused," he said.
The accused have been identified as- B Ramesh, K Venkateswara Rao, B Ravindrababu, G Rajababu, Y Ramesh and M Vittal.
Search has been launched for the kingpin of the casein Karnataka and special teams have been sent to that state.
Five days back, the police had arrested seven persons in connection with fake currency racket, he said.
