Another woman attacked with injection in Vizag

In the wake of several incidents in which women were allegedly attacked with injection by a man, a 52-year-old woman today faced a similar offence here today, police said.
The victim identified as A Sailaja from Kommadi area in the city, was going to her sister's house at Seethammadhara this morning when she was injected by two bike-borne youths on her arm at Balayyasastry Layout near Seethammadhara, police said.
"Sailaja and her son were travelling in a car around 11.40 am when she pulled down the window-pane of the car to make a phone call to her sister. Two bike-borne youths with their faces covered, took out a syringe and injected on her left forearm and fled from the spot," police said.

Sailaja was taken to a private hospital in Madhuravada, where doctors conducted tests and kept her under observation.
Following the information, police of Fourth Town police station have launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
"However, police are yet to ascertain whether the accused involved in today's crime was the same person who has terrorised women from the neighboring districts," said ACP (East) R Ramana.
In the past, several cases of attacking women have been registered in various police stations of the district.
