Releasing the book 'Momentous Times' here, Vice-President Hamid Ansari said it as a "fine collection" for a "quick glimpse" into history.
Speaking at a function at his official residence, he appreciated the effort and said one can go back to the collection from time to time as it gives insight into various issues.
In his opening remarks, 'The Times of India' Executive Editor Arindam Sengupta said the book captures 175 momentous events that shaped modern India.
He said the newspaper believes that it has redefined the role of newspapers and its focus on trends and things that are shaping the country.
