IN his second period role, steeped in the 19th century milieu after 'Moner Manush' in the role of baul cult maker Lalon Fakir, superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee blazed the ramp as the fashion icon of Tollywood.
Prosenjit, set to woo the audiences in much hyped Jaatishwar portraying the contrasting roles of the 18th century Protugese-Bengali worshipper-minstrel H Anthony or popularly known as Anthony Firingee and his re-born present day avatar, said, "Fashion is a very important part of the ever-emerging Bengali cinema now and a lot of aesthetics go into every work. We have stylers now, in masala and arthouse flicks.
"We had only art directors in past. And feel reassured with the poise and confidence of the present day students. Fashion is in one way in Jaatiswar and different in say Autograph or Baishe Srabin," Prosenjiot said after being felicitated.
"From the robes io Athony Fringee and earlier MOner Manush, not to speak about mainstream genres, fashion has become the key part in all kinds of present Tollyflick," he said.
Anandi Ghosh, daughter of ace director Goutam Ghosh, who had been closely involvedwith 'Bumbada' (Prosenjit's) constume designing in Moner Manush, was the creative brain behind the fashion show.
"Tomorrow Makers 2013-14" of INIFD Lindsay Street participated by leading models like Dimpy Mahajan and Madhabilata.
