Hailing demonetisation move, Union Minister Uma Bharti today said the fight against black money should continue until the rich becomes honest and the poor self-reliant.
"Amir ko imandari aur garib ko swavlamban evam imandari, dono jab tak prapt nahi ho jati, tab tak yeh ladai jaari rahani chahiye (the fight should continue until the rich becomes honest and the poor self-reliant and honest) #DeMonetisation," the Water Resources Minister said in a puzzling tweet.
Taking the country by surprise, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on November 8 announced scrapping of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes, aiming to combat black money, corruption, counterfeit currency and curb terror funding.
The decision, however, has come under sharp criticism from opposition parties, particularly in the wake of people facing cash crunch.
