"We had initially wanted to launch it on October 2 but there were some delays and now we are planning to launch it on November 14, which also happens to be Children's Day," Women and Child Development minister Krishna Tirath told PTI today.
"We are hopeful that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would be present there and have also consulted Aamir Khan, who is the face of the campaign, and expect him to be there," she said.
Tirath said once the information campaign takes off in Delhi, it would move to all the states and she hoped that the CMs would then launch the campaign in their states.
Officials said all the production-related work had been completed for this publicity campaign which was expected to be rolled out in three stages.
In the first stage, Aamir will be seen explaining and introducing the concept of what constitutes malnutrition. The second and third stage will see the actor convey specific messages as to what the public can do to prevent and remove the problem of malnutrition, official said. (More)
