Anti-Terrorism Day observed at Assam Secretariat

Anti-Terrorism Day was observed at the Assam secretariat complex here today in the presence of Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia, senior officials and employees.
On the occasion the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary T Y Das along with other senior officials and employees of the secretariat paid floral tribute to the portrait of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
They also took a pledge administered by the chief secretary against terrorism as well as to uphold and promote peace and social harmony.
May 21 is observed across the country as Anti-Terrorism Day in the memory of Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated by terrorists on this day in 1991.
