Spanish actor Antonio Banderas is proud of his stepdaughter Dakota Johnson for her role in the upcoming movie 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
The 54-year-old actor praised his stepdaughter, who stars as innocent student in the erotic movie 'Fifty Shades of Grey', for how she has developed as an actress during the time he has known her, reported Access Hollywood.
"I got into the life of the girl when she was four-years-old and just to see her now, I'm so proud of her," Banderas said.
The 'SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water' star split from the actress' mother, Melanie Griffith, in 2014 after 18 years of marriage, but said he believes they, along with her grandmother Tippi Hedren, helped the 25-year-old model learn about the industry.
"She knows very well what this career is all about. She has seen it in her father, in her mother and I suppose me too, and in her grandmother, so she has a tradition in Hollywood."
Despite being close to the rising star, who is the biological daughter of 'Miami Vice' actor Don Johnson, he confessed he is in no rush to see her saucy adaptation of E L James' best-selling novel when it is released.
"I don't think so. I probably will wait a little bit," Banderas said.
