"Two centres, being set up near the city in Barasat and Sonarpur, will collectively impact 800 youths from lower income communities in West Bengal," the organisers said.
Through Anudip's innovative technology-driven project DIYA - 'Digital Inclusion of Young Aspirants' - the young generation would be equipped with the necessary IT, English language and ancillary skills required for good employment.
Project DIYA is a result of the India Innovation Grant Programme by Citi Foundation, aimed at promoting innovation in the social sector, the organisers said.
"Over 750 of these youths are already meaningfully employed. DIYA is designed to impact four major barriers faced by the youth in developing countries - lack of information, soft skill gaps, limited access to gainful employment and being ill-equipped with tools - for success during job hunt.
