"It was a never before chance. To infuse Bengali lyric elements in a Bollywood number. There are so many creative talents like Shantanu Moitra. I am working on three songs," the milestone Autograph singer said at a chat session with elocutionist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee here.
Anupam, however, seemed unhappy with the shelving of Sujoy Ghosh's sequel of Kahaani where he and popular Bengali lyricist-poet Srijato were collaborating for the musical part.
"But let me put it that way. Yes, it is disappointing as me and Srijatoda had put in so much effort and spent hours. And finally we came to know the film has been stalled or something like that," Anupam said at the chat show.
Anupam, who confessed the Bengali chartbuster number 'Bariye Dao Tomar Haat" was actually composed for a girlfriend in his younger days and later on tailored to reflect father-son relationship in the film Chalo Paltai, was attending the first ever live chat show in a city restaurant attended by several luminaries in show biz.
"Buddha Bites is proud to host Anupam Roy, a youth icon. We would similarly conduct chat shows featuring other icons in Bengali entertainment industry or even those having made it big in Bollywood but still nurturing roots of Bengal," the socialite owners said.
