Anupama Bhatnagar assumes charge as PCI secy

Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Anupama Bhatnagar has assumed charge as the new secretary of the Press Council of India (PCI).

Bhatnagar, who succeeds Vibha Bhargava, took the charge on April 2, the PCI said.

Prior to her new assignment, Bhatnagar was posted as the additional director general (new) in All India Radio (AIR).

Consequent upon retirement of Secretary Vibha Bhargava on March 31, 2018, Ms Aupama Bhatnagar, a Senior Administrative Grade Officer of IIS Group A' posted as additional director general (New) NSD:AIR (News Services Division: All India Radio) is transferred and posted as Additional Director General PIB (Press Information Bureau), New Delhi to work in Press Council of India, New Delhi on the post of secretary with immediate effect and until further orders, the PCI said in a release.
