She was addressingpolice officers on the concluding day of a three-day workshop on 'capacity building programme for police officers' conductedby Traffic police in association with the Institute of Road Traffic Education, New Delhi here.
She said she immediately formed a Road Safety Action group, comprising officials of engineering, enforcement and education wings of the government. They would visit various points and prepare reports through a WhatsApp group for follow up action. There would be frequent training programmes.
Earlier IRTE President, Dr Rohit Baluja, who also spoke, said Puducherry was the 39th city for IRTE to conduct programmes on road safety.
