AP Assembly's monsoon session from Aug 31
Press Trust of India Hyderabad The promises made to Andhra Pradesh during the bifurcation last year and the land acquisition for the new capital, among other issues, are expected to figure prominently in the Legislative Assembly session of the state beginning on August 31.
A notification by Governor ESL Narasimhan summoning the Assembly was issued yesterday. The session is expected to last for a week.
The opposition YSR Congress has been trying to corner the TDP-BJP government over the promised 'special status' for AP and other issues.
