Rain in the delta region has forced him to defer his programme by two days and he will now tour Kakinada, Amalapuram and Rampachodavaram areas in East Godavari district on July 14, 15 and 16, sources in the chief minister's office said.
Under the programme, the chief minister is expected to spend two to three days in each district every week and tour various assembly constituencies to get a first-hand feel of the people's pulse.
The CM would like to tour at least 100 assembly segments in one month, sources at the chief minister's office said.
The chief minister, as part of the programme, will also spend time with Congress rank and file in the constituencies, to lift their morale which took a severe beating after the by-elections in which the YSR Congress made a near clean sweep.
He will also possibly spend a night in a village to inspect development schemes and conditions in students' hostels, sources in the chief ministers office said. "Surprise checks" will also be part of the CM's trips.
