The committee, in its attempt to figure out the reasons for the rout, will have a meeting with Congress MPs on July 17 and with MLAs on July 18, Social Welfare Minister Pithani Satyanarayana said here.
The committee, headed by Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, was earlier expected to submit its interim report to the state Congress leadership tomorrow.
The Minister said that the committee felt that Panchyat polls be conducted as early as possible to galvanise the party workers.
In the bypolls, while the ruling Congress could win only two assembly segments, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy won 15 Assembly seats and the lone Lok Sabha seat.
