The meeting is proposed to be attended by leaders at various levels, party sources said here today.
The convention is aimed at strengthening the party organisation for the 2014 assembly and General Elections to face the challenge from the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the main opposition Telugu Desam.
YSRCP is on a high following its thumping victory in the recent bypolls to 18 assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat.
Though it drew a blank in the bye-elections, TDP is making a determined bid to stage a come back by announcing a slew of special measures including a 'BC declaration' (a charter of promises for backward classes). TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu is planning to undertake a 'padayatra' across the state.
The continuing suspense over the separate Telangana demand cost the Congress dearly in the several bypolls held in the last few years.
