Congress is preparing a "vision document" on development of residual State of Andhra Pradesh and it will be included in the party manifesto for Assembly polls, said Andhra Pradesh Congress President N Raghuveera Reddy.
Andhra Pradesh will simultaneously vote in Lok Sabha as well as Assembly polls in April-May.
Congress is committed to resolve the drinking water and irrigation problems of Rayalaseema, he said, speaking at a press conference organised by AP Union of Working Journalists here this evening.
The people of this region are very much concerned over water problems, but no political leader has raised this issue with seriousness, Reddy said.
The successor state (Seemandhra) has been given a special development package by the Centre and this will help in all-round growth of districts, Reddy said.
All ongoing irrigation projects in Rayalaseema will be completed, he said and appealed to political parties to take serious note of water-related problems in the region.
