AP Governor, CM congratulate Sachin for Bharat Ratna honour

Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today congratulated cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar on being chosen for the Bharat Ratna award.
The Governor also congratulated eminent scientist C N R Rao on being chosen for the the country's highest civilian honour.
"The two luminaries have excelled in their chosen fields and have done the country proud. I congratulate Prof CNR Rao and Sachin Tendulkar on the occasion.
"Honouring them with Bharat Ratna is a mark of appreciation in the highest form for their exemplary contribution in the field of solid-state and structural chemistry and cricket, respectively," Narasimhan said in a message.
The chief minister said Sachin was a great cricketer and a role model for all the sportspersons.
"Sachin's contribution to Indian cricket is invaluable and his achievements are incredible. Sachin is a great cricketer," Reddy said.

He said Sachin's passion and dedication stood out from the rest as he brought a new outlook to the game.
"Sachin enhanced the game's following by bringing it closer to the common man. He is a role model as to how a sportsperson should be irrespective of his achievements.
"He always kept the country ahead of his own achievements. On behalf of the people and Government of Andhra Pradesh, I wish Sachin all the very best in his future endeavours," the chief minister said in a statement.
