A day before swearing-in in the capital city of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh Governor designate B B Harichandan Tuesday offered prayers at the famous hill shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala near here.
Octogenarian Biswa Bhushan Harichandan, a senior BJP leader in neighbouring Odisha, with wife Suprava Harichandan landed at the Renigunta airport and reached the hills by road, a temple official told PTI.
On arrival at the shrine, he was accorded a warm welcome by TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy, executive officer Anilkumar Singhal and special officer AV Dharma Reddy.
Later, he visited the shrine and offered worship to the presiding deity of Lord Sri Venkateswara.
Before leaving the temple city for Amaravati, the Governor-designate also paid his obeisance at the shrine of goddess Sri Padmavathi in Tiruchanur.
