Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today sought cooperation of Australia in helping the state government build infrastructure projects and strengthen roads and drainage networks.
A delegation led by Lord Mayor of Brisbane Graham Quirk met Naidu at the CM's Camp Office where the latter explained the "huge" investment potential in the state.
The Chief Minister informed the visiting team that Andhra Pradesh has abundant natural resources, a 1000 km-long coastline and other advantages which enable the state to create wealth.
Naidu said that the focus of the state government was on building basic infrastructure as well as on sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and most importantly, power.
"We still have a few impediments in our way. It is just a matter of time before Andhra Pradesh becomes one of the top three states in the country," said a statement quoting the Chief Minister.
