AP govt to invite PM for opening World Agriculture Congress

The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to invite Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the inauguration of the World Agriculture Congress to be held here in November this year.
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is expected to meet the Prime Minister soon to extend the invitation.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee, headed by state Agriculture Minister Kanna Laxminarayana, set up to oversee the organisation of the conference met here today and took stock of the arrangements being made, an official release said.
The committee directed the officials to review the preparations for the conference once in a fortnight.
An agri trade fair would be held on the occasion of the international conference, the release said.
The committee also asked the officials to make other arrangements like preparation of agenda setting up different sub-committees on various subjects among others, the release added.
