It will be a sort of continuation of the Budget session of the legislature as it wasn't prorogued after it was adjourned sine die on March 31.
The business advisory committee of the House will meet on the morning of May 16 and decide on duration of the extended session, government sources said.
Besides the state GST Bill, the government has plans to introduce some other bills in case the session is held for two or more days.
"We will take a decision on this after the Chief Minister and the Legislative Affairs Minister return from their US trip," the sources added.
The central government proposes to roll out the GST from July 1.
