AP representative meets Rajnath for expediting relief release

Andhra Pradesh Special Representative Kambhampati Rama Mohan Rao today called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, seeking to expedite the release of Rs 1000 crore cyclone relief announced by the PM.
A statement issued by the AP Information Centre here said that cyclone Hudhud caused extensive damages in Visakhapatnam and neighbouring districts of Vizianagaram and Srikakulam of Andhra Pradesh, which is estimated at about 80,000 crore.
After an aerial survey on October 14, the release said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an interim relief of Rs 1000 Crore.
The release also said, Government of Andhra Pradesh has also appealed to the general public to contribute directly to CM relief fund to support the cyclone relief works.
Cheques from Delhi can be drawn in favour of "CM RELIEF FUND (AP CYCLONE RELIEF) a/c and be provided to any Andhra Bank branch. The account no is 110310100029039.
If cheques are drawn other than Andhra Bank favour, IFSC code to be mentioned is ADNB0001103, the release added.
