AP, T'gana decide to expedite process of division of assets

A committee of officials belonging to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today decided to expedite the process of division of assets and properties between the two states in the wake of bifurcation of undivided Andhra Pradesh in 2014.
The meeting was participated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar, his Telangana counterpart S P Singh and officials from both the states.
"It was decided to expedite division of Schedule-X institutions, which do not have land and buildings; It was decided to expedite the division of properties of A.P. Bhavan at New Delhi," a state government release said.
"It was decided to expedite approval of recommendations of the Expert Committee headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Sheela Bhide, IAS (Retd.) on division of assets, liabilities & employees of institutions listed under Schedule-IX of A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014," it said.
The meeting also decided several other issues concerning division of employees and assets between the two states.
