An organisation representing displaced Kashmiri Pandits today accused Jammu and Kashmir government of mismanaging a meeting of its delegation with the Parliamentary sub-committee on Home Affairs, due to which it could not place its demands before the panel.
APMCC (All Party Migrant Coordination Committee) claimed that the government had taken a "politically motivated approach" in yesterday's event and it has decided to directly meet PSC chairman M Venkaiah Naidu and submit its demands.
"We have taken a strong exception to the politically motivated approach of the state and central governments for befooling the Kashmiri Pandit migrants which was evident during the visit of Parliamentary Sub-Committee on Home Affairs on November 7 at Circuit House, Jammu, where Kashmiri Pandits were made to wait for hours and then the whole affair was converted into an open darbar to suit the political agenda of the government," APMCC chairman Vinod Pandit claimed.
"APMCC has decided to interact directly with PSC chairman Venkaiah Naidu and submit its memorandum to him as the state administration has miserably failed to utilise the PSC Sub Committee's visit by turning it into a political show," Pandit said.
He claimed that the state administration had failed in its duty to effectively manage the event by making it a free-for-all even though separate time slots were allotted to different delegations, forcing APMCC to boycott the interaction with the PSC members.
"The state authorities have totally mismanaged the event, forcing us and others to boycott the panel," he said.

APMCC would also write an open letter to President Pranab Mukherjee about "politicisation of the PSC interaction," he said.
APMCC activists also criticised the J-K government for stating that APMCC had interacted with the PSC delegation even thought it had boycotted the meeting and not submitted its memorandum, he said.
Meanwhile, the Parliamentary Sub-Committee on the rehabilitation of J&K migrants yesterday asked the state government to take concrete steps to implement PM's relief package for the rehabilitation and welfare of the Kashmiri migrants in the state.
