Apna Dal national convenor and Union minister Anupriya Patel today asked party workers to gear up for the upcoming urban local bodies polls in Uttar Pradesh.
She also said that to commemorate the birth anniversary of party founder Sonelal Patel, Apna Dal will organise 'Swaabhimaan Rally' on July 2.
Addressing the party workers and office bearers here at the Gandhi Sabhagar, Patel asked them to intensify the ongoing membership drive at the district and block levels.
"The party has become a force to reckon with in UP, and efforts should be made to bring more workers in party fold at the booth level," she said.
Minister of State in UP Government Jai Prakash Singh assured the party workers that the party will always stand by them and at every point of time.
Apna Dal national president Ashish Singh Patel also administered membership oath to those who joined the party today.
