Desmond, who will be based out of the company's office in London, has replaced Tapan Mitra, who retires as the Chief of Human Resources by the end of this year.
"She will be responsible for all aspects of HR in the organisation, in addition to being a member of the company's Management Board," Apollo Tyres said in a statement.
