April 10 polling: 64 candidates in fray for 4 LS seats

A total of 64 candidates remained in the fray for the four Lok Sabha seats going to polls on April 10 in Jharkhand after two nominations were rejected during scrutiny.
Trinamool Congress candidate from Lohardaga (ST) seat Chamra Linda's nomination was declared valid today, election office sources said.
The decision on his nomination papers was pending after Congress candidate Rameshwar Oraon raised objection that Linda held the post of chairman of the Tenughat Vidoot Nigam Limited.
With acceptance of Linda's nomination, a total of ten candidates remained in the fray in the Lohardaga (ST) LS seat.
In the Chatra LS seat, as many as 20 candidates were left in the fray after the nomination papers of Rajendra Lohara of Lok Jharkhand Vikas Morcha was rejected during scrutiny.
The second nomination which was rejected was that of Aam Aadmi Party candidate from the Palamau (SC) LS seat Kishundhari Ram, an official release stated. There are a total of 13 candidates for the Palamau seat.
As many as 21 candidates remained in the fray from the Koderma Lok Sabha seat.
