The APSC also asserted that all measures were taken to ensure proper transparency in the selection process.
Reacting to yesterday's allegation by an NGO, Assam Public Works (APW), APSC chairman (in-charge) Brig (retd) Ranjit Borthakur said "The Commission tried to get maximum clarifications on requisite qualifications for senior level posts and experience in work, which were not clear in the government advertisement published on June 17, 2016".
"The Commission has been making concerted efforts towards fair and time-bound recruitment process," Borthakur said.
The new dispensation of the APSC led by Borthakur was appointed by the state government after the arrest of its chairman Rakesh Paul, its members Dr Samedur Rahman and Basanta Kumar Doley, besides its assistant controller of examinations Pabitra Kaibarta last year in connection with a cash for job scam.
