Arab League Secy General to visit India from Dec 16

Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Araby will arrive here on an official visit from December 16 during which he will hold talks with Indian leaders on regional situation and ways to enhance Arab-India cooperation.
An updated Memorandum of Cooperation of Arab-India Cooperation Forum is expected to be signed during al-Araby's visit, the Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs said here.
According to the MEA, total bilateral trade with the Arab countries is over USD 110 billion. The region is home to 4.5 million Indians and caters to 70 per cent of our energy imports.
