The conference, to be attended by 120 Indian Ambassadors and High Commissioners from across the world, would provide an opportunity to them to interact with the country's senior policymakers, official spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs Syed Akbaruddin said.

The conference will brainstorm on various issues and challenges that confront India's foreign policy, he said.

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna will inaugurate the conference and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will also speak at the conference which will also feed on the viewpoints and issues discussed in the past six regional conferences of HoMs, he said.

Apart from perennial issues such as India and its neighbours and country's engagement at multi-lateral forums, the spokesperson said the envoys will also look at new challenges in areas of cyber security, public diplomacy and cultural diplomacy.

The conference will discuss an entire gamut of foreign policy issues that include the UN reforms, counter-terrorism, nuclear proliferation, India's relations with neighbouring countries, the situation in West Asia, India-China relations and India-Pakistan relations.
