Aravind KP named in TVS Team for Dakar rally

India's Aravind KP will have his second chance to experience the gruelling Dakar Rally after being named in a three-member squad of the Sherco TVS Factory Rally Team.
Veteran rider Joan Pedrero from Spain will lead the squad, which also includes Adrien Metge from France. The team is aiming for a top-10 finish at the 15-day rally, beginning January 6 from Lima, Peru.
The rally will pass through La Paz, Bolivia before finally culminating in Crdoba, Argentina, after having traversed a total distance of over 9000km.
"Our partnership with Sherco for Dakar has been a hugely rewarding experience for our racing team. We have supported Indian riders and engineers in competing in international events, and this has resulted in immense learning for both the partners," Vinay Harne, President New Product Development, TVS Motor Company said.
