Arhar and its dal up on improved demand

In restricted activity, arhar and its dal prices rose further by Rs 500 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand against paucity of stocks.
However, other pulses traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said rising demand from retailers against tight supplies from producing belts mainly kept arhar and its dal prices higher.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety advanced by Rs 500 each to Rs 11,500-11,900 and Rs 13,100-13,300 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 9,300-10,400, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 10,400-10,600, Urad best Rs 10,500-11,100, Dhoya Rs 10,900-11,100, Moong Rs 7,500-8,100, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 8,100-8,500, Moong Dhoya local Rs 8,400-8,900 and best quality Rs 8,900-9,100.
Masoor small Rs 6,300-7,000, bold Rs 6,200-7,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,400-7,600, best quality Rs 7,500-7,700, Malka local Rs 8,300-8,750, best Rs 8,400-8,800, Moth Rs 5,600-6,000, Arhar Rs 11,500-11,900, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 13,100-13,300.
