Marketmen said stockists buying after pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in arhar and gram prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal prices shot up by Rs 150 each to Rs 4,650-4,850 and Rs 5,950-6,250 per quintal, respectively.
Gram, gram dal local and best quality were also enquired higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,850-3,750, Rs 3,650-3,850 and Rs 3,750-3,850 per quintal, respectively.
