Arhar, gram rise on stockists buying

Prices of arhar and gram were higher by another Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on persistent buying by stockists, driven by rising demand from retailers.
Traders said increased buying by stockists following strong demand from retailers mainly kept arhar and gram prices higher.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety remained in demand and advanced by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000-8,800 per quintal, respectively.
Gram, gramdal local and best quality followed suit and rose further by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,900-6,100, Rs 6,700-7,000 and Rs 7,100-7,200 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 6,600-7,500, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 6,800-6,900, Urad best Rs 6,900-7,400, Dhoya Rs 7,300-7,500, Moong Rs 5,400-5,600, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,900-6,100, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,500-7,000 and best quality Rs 7,000-7,200.
Masoor small Rs 4,700-5,000, bold Rs 4,750-5,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,200-5,700, best quality Rs 5,300-5,800, Malka local Rs 5,500-5,700, best Rs 5,600-5,800, Moth Rs 3,850-4,250, Arhar Rs 5,000, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,000-8,800.
