Arhar, its dal slides on muted demand

Arhar and its dal prices drifted lower by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand from retailers against ample stocks.
Traders said besides easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels, ample stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the decline in arhar and its dal prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety fell by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 6,050 and Rs 7,900-9,700 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 6,900-7,900, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 7,200-7,300, Urad best Rs 7,300-7,800, Dhoya Rs 7,700-8,000, Moong Rs 5,100-5,600, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,600-5,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,200-6,700 and best quality Rs 6,700-6,900.
Masoor small Rs 5,250-5,350, bold Rs 5,300-5,400, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,700-6,200, best quality Rs 5,800-6,300, Malka local Rs 6,300-6,500, best Rs 6,400-6,600, Moth Rs 3,800-4,200, Arhar Rs 6,050, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,900-9,700.
