Arhar, its dal slides on muted demand

Arhar and its dal prices drifted lower by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand from retailers against ample stocks.
Traders said besides easing demand from retailers at prevailing levels, ample stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the decline in arhar and its dal prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety fell by Rs 150 and Rs 200 to Rs 6,050 and Rs 7,900-9,700 per quintal, respectively.
