Arhar, its dal slip on sluggish demand

Arhar and its dal prices fell on subdued demand from retailers. Meanwhile, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.

Traders said besides easing demand from retailers, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from growing regions attributed the fall in arhar and its dal prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety drifted lower by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 4,100 and Rs 5,900-7,800 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small Rs 3,350-3,500, bold Rs 3,450-3,600, Dal Masoor local Rs 3,500-3,900, best quality Rs 3,600-4,000, Malka local Rs 3,900-4,100, best Rs 4,000-4,300, Moth Rs 3,500-3,900, Arhar Rs 4,100 Dal Arhar Dara Rs 5,900-7,800.

Gram Rs 3,800-3,900, Gram dal (local) Rs 3,900-4,300, best quality Rs 4,300-4,400, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 1,950, Rajdhani Rs 1,950, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,000-8,000, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,300-5,300, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 3,400-3,600, Peas white Rs 2,825-2,850 and green Rs 2,925-3,025.
