Arhar, its dal strengthen on scattered demand

Arhar and its dal prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today due to scattered demand from retailers.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range on little doing and settled at last levels.
Traders said some demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts led to the rise in arhar and its dal prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal prices rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,500-5,550 and Rs 6,850-7,150 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
Urad 5,400-6,000, Urad Chilka (local) 6,700-6,900, Urad best 6,900-7,500, Dhoya 7,300-7,700, Moong 7,000-7,700, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,800-8,300, Moong Dhoya local 7,800-8,100 and best quality 8,600-8,700.
Masoor small 5,450-5,700, bold 5,500-5,750, Dal Masoor local 6,400-6,500, best quality 6,500-6,600, Malka local 7,000-7,300, best 7,200-7,300, Moth 5,300-5,600, Arhar 5,500- 5,550, Dal Arhar Dara 6,850-7,150.
Gram 3,450-4,250, Gram Dal (local) 3,900-4,100, best quality 4,000-4,300, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,660, Rajdhani 1,660, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-5,600,Kabli Gram small 4,100-6,400, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,700-2,725 and green 2,775-2,875.
