However, masoor and its dal met with resistance at current levels and ended lower.
Marketmen said some demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in arhar and its dal prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,900-6,950 and Rs 8,250-8,550 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, masoor small and bold were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,350-6,550 and Rs 6,350-6,650 per quintal respectively. Its dal local and best qaulity followed suit and enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,450-7,550 and Rs 7,550-7,650 per quintal.
